What are eyelash extensions?
With eyelash extensions, each individual eyelash hair is extended with a separate eyelash extension. This gives a natural effect. The extensions are made of a high quality anti-allergic material with a fuller base at the base that gradually thins towards the tip, just like a natural eyelash hair. The extension is attached to the natural lash hair with a special bonder glue (without formaldehyde) that remains soft and flexible and does not cause damage to the natural lashes. About 60 to 90 hairs are used for an extension. You no longer need mascara, but you can apply it if you find it necessary. I do not recommend having eyelash extensions put on during pregnancy.

One By One
With the one by one technique, an eyelash extension is glued to a real eyelash with a special eyelash glue that provides a beautiful and natural full eyelash look. Mascara is no longer necessary and saves time in the morning.
Since there are also very thin and light eyelash hairs, I look together with you which eyelashes are best suitable. A person has about 90 eyelashes per eye. An eyelash is applied to almost all hairs.
As a result, failure is hardly visible. Not every eyelash salon applies +/- 90 hairs per eye. This is often reflected in the price. At first glance it seems full, but after a few days when a number of lashes have fallen out, it is more visible that something is missing. Eyelash loss is a natural process that also takes place without eyelash extensions.

How long do they stay put?
Eyelash extensions can be worn for a maximum of 8 weeks. It is true that every 2-3 weeks your eyelash hairs naturally fall out to make way for new eyelashes. This creates holes in the eyelashes because new hairs grow. What I recommend is that you come back every few weeks so that you can continue to enjoy beautiful, full lashes.

Livlashes
When putting the eyelash extensions I use the brand Livlashes. It is a nice brand with beautiful products that is very soft for the skin but has a strong adhesion
Volume/ 3d/Hollywood
Eyelash extensions 3D, or Russian Volume can be 2 to max 6D. This indicates how many extensions the fans consist of. Depending on the look you want, but also depending on what is healthy and suits your lashes, the stylist decides how many hairs to use.
Although more extensions are placed per lash, this does not harm the natural lash and does not feel heavier. In fact; you often feel this set even less than the One by One because the extensions used with this technique are much finer and therefore lighter on the lashes. These lashes provide a full/dramatic look. Highly recommended if you like extra!
The eyelashes must remain dry for the first 24 hours after the treatment, this ensures optimal adhesion of the glue. Allow the extensions to fill in for around 2-3 weeks. This keeps the set neat, clean and is important for the health of your eyelashes.
Treatment Russian Volume/3d
To easily clean the eyelashes and eyes, it is recommended to purchase a Lash Foam if you plan to wear eyelash extensions for a longer period of time. This ensures a long retention of the glue/lashes, keeps the natural lashes strong and healthy and can be used as a make-up cleaner for eyeliner/foundation for example and helps to prevent irritations/allergic reactions to extensions.

Hygiene
Hygiene is a top priority for me. Also during these crazy corona times I make sure all my materials are well disinfected and I stick to the rules of the RIVM.
To ensure everyone's health, I ask the following on arrival, this is how it stays nice for everyone.
1. Upon arrival, please write down your name, telephone number and email address in the book that is on the table
2. Mask required.
At all services that are not directly related to the face or where wearing a mouth cap does not hinder you, you must wear a mouth cap. At services where a mouth cap is not so handy (such as make-up or workshops), the mouth cap can of course be removed as long as we are busy with the service.
3. Do you suffer from the well-known covid-19 complaints:
- nose cold
-running nose
-to sneeze
-sore throat
-(light) cough
- shortness of breath?
- Or does one of your housemates suffer from this? Indicate it in time (preferably one day before the treatment) otherwise I will be forced to cancel the appointment and charge the costs. So report it on time!
4. Have you had Covid-19 yourself? Only make an appointment if you are free of complaints for 14 days.
General measures / advice;
Wash your hands minimally;
After every toilet visit
After coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose
After contact with animals
After using cleaning agents
If you've been outside
For preparing food
This is also a policy for me that I will continue to use on a daily basis;
Do you have flu symptoms and / or fever, I ask you to reschedule the appointment to when you feel better again. There will of course be no cancellation fees, but I do ask that you notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to come.
